AuraPic is a location-based photo scavenger-hunt game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run the game.
Account: if you create an account, your email address. You can play as a guest without one.
Location: precise GPS coordinates when you create or play a hunt, used to place and verify hunt locations. Location is captured only while the app is in use.
Photos: images you capture as hunt targets or to match a target. Photos you publish are stored in our cloud so other players can play your hunt.
Gameplay: hunts you create, complete, and your scores/times.
Device basics needed to operate and secure the service (e.g. crash diagnostics).
To run the core game: place hunt pins, verify you are at a location, and sync your hunts across devices.
To keep the service safe: prevent abuse, spam, and unsafe or illegal content.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos or location for advertising.
When you publish a hunt, its location becomes available to players who choose to play it. Do not publish hunts at private residences, schools, or other sensitive or unsafe places. You are responsible for the locations you publish.
We take steps to reduce the precision of publicly browsable location data and to remove hunts that violate our rules.
We use Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) as our backend provider to store your account, hunts, and photos on our behalf.
We disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of people or the public.
Access & deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). This erases your published hunts, photos, and on-device data.
You may request a copy of your data, or correction of it, by contacting us.
Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights. We honor these requests.
You can revoke camera and location permissions at any time in your device settings; some features will stop working.
AuraPic is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your content and queue your account record for removal.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
